There are many variations on the above mentioned home furniture cleaner. They are basically the same; what you include may depend on what is most familiar and available to you. Other mixtures are: two parts turpentine to one part boiled linseed oil, or equal parts turpentine, boiled linseed oil, and vinegar. Occasionally, another kitchen oil may be included in a furniture cleaner recipe. Oils also help keep wood from drying out and cracking from the more drying agents in the cleansers.
